Catarina Riccabona

Overview

Woven masterpieces come together organically and with much skill and patience; each forming its own distinct patterns and clues which trace exactly how it was made at the loom. 

 

Catarina Riccabona (b.1973 Linz, Austria) is a weaver and textile artist based in Cockpit Studios, Deptford, London. Having studied Textile Design at Central Saint Martins, 2007, Riccabona continues to hand weave and build a practice collaborating with interior designers, curators and private collectors.

 

Catarina Riccabona’s work has been featured in UK and international press and publications including The World of Interiors, Elle Decoration, Telegraph Magazine, Crafts Magazine, Hole & Corner, Selvedge, Architectural Digest (France), Vävmagasinet (Sweden), CREA Traveller (Japan).  Featured in the book ‘Quiet Spaces’, 2023 by RIBA architect, William Smalley.
