Jane Kite

Jane Kite is a multidisciplinary artist specialising in ceramics. Her use of slip and oxide is refined and practical.

Jane’s vessels can be generously proportioned, finished with oxide and slip, also slim and fine, incised with a cursive pattern using oxide and a transparent interior glaze.

Her ceramics are hand built using coil and slab methods.

Jane Kite studied at Bath Academy of Art and went on to become a successful prop maker for film, TV and theatre. Working on productions including Chicken Run, Curse of the Wererabbit and Creature Comforts.

She is based in the West Country and has exhibited around the south coast and in London.
