"The idea of collecting beautiful, varied things and arranging them just as they were pleasing to the eye in an interior setting became the foundational ethos for 8 Holland Street, the gallery and interior design consultancy Tobias has set up"

  • INTERIOR DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE, Design direction through to completion

    Design direction through to completion

8 Holland Street design studio can offer services in the capacity desired; Interior design consultancy to help direct plans for the home, or a full interior design service from such initial decisions to engaging builders, project managing any work on site, to sourcing the final art pieces that see the design through to completion.

We know It can be intimidating to engage with a large number of consultants, however, we can provide in-house CAD drawings and sketches, engage with structural engineers and work with builders to sensitively achieve any structural changes to the existing.

"In your new collection do not fear the unknown; look around for quirky pieces by anonymous makers. At the gallery we have a great collection of European studio pottery that all have makers' marks but are officially "unidentified" and a beautiful selection of wooden hand-carved pieces from across the globe. Unattributed artefacts are a fun way to add diversity (and mystery) to your home on a smaller budget. Think of the Surrealists and get mystically drawn to an object in a charity shop à la André Breton."

Imbue a sense of 8 Holland Street within your walls

It can be a matter of rehanging and purchasing artworks or furniture pieces to lift and revitalise a home. With long founded relationships in the art and antique world throughout Europe, we can imbue a sense of 8 Holland Street on and within your walls.

“Doing this,” says Vernon, “I have realised that whatever chair and whatever etching and pot, piece of glass and old rug you love will go together beautifully if they’re placed together in a sympathetic yet intriguing way.”
