Dylan Bowen
Dylan Bowen is a British ceramicist, He trained with his father Clive Bowen at Shebbear Pottery before studying at Camberwell School of Art. He uses a mix of both traditional and contemporary techniques and materials with earthenware clay, recognisable with his use of slipware.
The clay can be thrown, hand built, carved or moulded depending on what is needed. Slips are poured, trailed or brushed on. He works on a small but ever mutating range of shapes, attempting to capture some of the action and spontaneity of the making process bringing a new energy to the surface of clay.
