Amata Benedict

Amata Benedict is an artistic partnership. Working collaboratively on sculpture, textiles and furntiure. Their practive is based of the prolific principles of the renaissance ‘bottega’ workshop. Whereby disciplines merge to create artworks that unify the space between the artefact, the functional object and the work of art. From quilted canvas to applique. Ceramics to sculpture, bronze, steel and wood.

Amata Benedict's medium is born from used textiles, deconstructed and reconfigured furniture as well as fabricating metal sculptures and building with clay. They create works inspired by ancient art to everyday contemporary household objects.
