Overview
“My aim has been to search out memories capable of triggering feelings of joy and represent these reflections as boldly and directly as possible."
As a painter, performer and songwriter, Hannam is drawn to narrative. This new body of work embraces a directly expressive approach to his monumental and figurative paintings and works on paper. This new collection of works represents an important shift for the artist, particularly captured in his series, ‘Boy on a Bike’ embracing both a personal mythology and the artist’s connection to the outer world.
Luke Hannam currently lives in East Sussex, UK. His works have been exhibited and collected internationally, including the collections of Stefan Simchowitz and David Kowitz. He is represented by Anima Mundi in St Ives, Cornwall.
