Ben Nicholson
Nicholson stated that ‘Cubism, once discovered, couldn’t be undiscovered.’ It was a movement that continued to inspire him at different points throughout his career.
Nicholson was a British modernist painter who made abstract drawings and paintings, consistently working with simple line work while also holding a experimental element with his engaging colour combinations. He was considered a great contribution to the modernism movement, taking inspiration from the real work and his surroundings and transforming them using abstract objects.
