Georgia Loizou

With a background in fine art, Georgia loves the spontaneity of painting straight onto her creations before the firing and waiting to see what wonderful things emerge from the kiln.

Georgia Loizou is a Bath-based ceramic artist with a diverse and fascinating background spanning multiple disciplines. Initially trained in Fine Art, she began her career as a painter before expanding into Graphic Design, Photography, and eventually the fashion industry.

After extensive travel, Georgia found her passion for ceramics in London before establishing her studio in Bath. Her work predominantly features stoneware and earthenware, using a range of coloured slips and glazes on her hand-built and hand-coiled vessels. The forms she creates have a sculptural, organic quality, influenced by her painting background and deep appreciation for nature, colour, and light.
